Charles Arnold was an active wiccan practitioner. He was born in the US, and was a professor at Humber Collge in
Toronto, Canada. He is credited for creating the first time that pagan practices were considered a religion. He requested
that he have a day off (a pagan holiday) to which the college refused. He took them to court because this violated his
religious rights, and won the case. He was also the Mayor of Honolulu 1927 - 29.
